What's new

Windows 10!

This kinda thread reminds me how different gamers are. I first thought FPS gamers would all be fairly similar, know every spec, spend decent money on upgrades, be the first to try everything. I learned through the years, some will put big bucks down and put a lot of love into their "baby," and others will play on an ancient laptop with Intel graphics. :p

And here, when I think our whole group would be activating at midnight, there's many more people playing it safe and waiting for updates and bug fixes even when it's free! Now I'm wondering if our in-game play style has any correlation. I'll rush and be the first to die and I'm also the guinea pig w/ a new OS. Now @el jorge loco is an early adopter, I might be onto something. @v.Kamikaze plays CSS smart, leads the scoreboard and he's on XP. Hmm...coincidence? ;)

I won't be making the jump. As per cuts correct info the data mining will be prevalent and huge. I will be opting towards moving to a Linux distribution in the near future after 7. As per the dx12 etc, remember how long it took for dx10 to finally get adopted, and even then lots of devs still dev'd on dx9, and dx11, fogetaboutet. .Wine will let me do what I want for the most part, dual booting for the rest, apps for my fone, and clippy2.0 aka Cortina can suc-well you know. If I need an app, I have my phone and tablet, if anything else, I will avoid anything ms like the plague, heck, even steams looks more enticing to me. Again, just my 2 cents. I prefer to sit on my barrel, not get bent over it.

I might just bite the bullet and do a clean install of 10 this weekend. Starting to think my pc problems are coming from a 4 year old install of 7

hah, i rush a lot in CSS, but not with OS upgrades. if i do adopt early, it'll be on one of my test bench machines. :p
