Huh didn't know it was a free update.... I may try it on my laptop which is running 8.1 when I get around to it. Anyone know how long the free d/l is going to be available?

Free for 1 year. You can upgrade to 10 so it knows your system and for 1 month after updating to 10, under the recovery option it will save your old OS for you to roll back to

Read a thread on guru3d and so far theres no difference in the FPS for video games, but of course we wont see that until DX12 becomes more mainstream which will take advantage of the new engine 10 runs on. If anything it will probley break most games as there arent to many drivers out yet for win10. I try to wait atleast until a service pack comes out before upgrading. Too many security issues.
