Should we reduce the number of flashes per turn from 2 to 1 per person, per round?

Haha there really isn't any more pros, is there? Thats what this is all about. Obtaining new people. But I mean, I feel like we have the same amount of numbers coming onto the forums and staying in the server either way.

I agree with the cons. I think it makes it easier for random bad people to get kills, since all you need to do is spray doors or smoke and you're almost guaranteed to find someone on the other side and when you have 4 people doing it, somebodies gonna get a kill haha

I was able to play last night and invited you to help me get tye pub going... And you went source on me... I almost joined you but I was having fun in my near empty server pwning some nubs

I went to CSS because A) I spent a long time before then trying to fill, with no success, and B) to avoid frying my computer.

I'd play GO more if it was populated earlier in the day. Seems like it starts getting filled by the time I'm ready to go to sleep. :(

GO server is ridiculously hard to fill.

How long has this 40 slot, 1 flash situation been going on now? Have the source regs had enough to put to a vote what works better?

I can put the pros and cons as such:

Pros
- More Players

Cons
- No more opportunities to rush effectively
- More camping
- More noobs
- Different level of nade spam

Feel free to add to this list.

I'm not even really sure why "more players" is a pro aspect.

The Pro is because Ice likes that we have more players - brings more people to the forums (which potentially helps pay for the whole kit and kaboodle).

Well so far it seems ineffective. Just my opinion (which doesn't count for much since I'm not a CSS regular.)
It's a slow process tbh; the parties who are interested in joining will join, and those who don't, won't. I leave all this heady stuff to IcE. I just want what yarr wants - block back on, 30 man server, two flashes. :D

I just don't want to take damage or get flashed every time I walk by an opening of some kind.

It's so odd, the GO server has 30 when full and the flashes are not spammed NEARLY as much. It has to be the 16k.

Well you guys figure it out, my two cents is that 40 is just too many.

Flashbangs have a different mechanic in GO (the flash isn't as randomly long). Also, our GO server isn't 16K, so you have to prioritize your money, and the buy menu isn't exactly conducive to buying nades quickly unless you have had practice.

Yea, I've noted those factors before. And it's almost impossible to know a flash is coming in CSS, at least for me.

lol, I find the buy menu to be much easier in GO, lol. Just got used to it I guess.

I wonder what caused the influx of constant seemingly always pro flashing on source. Because, we've always had 32 slot/ 2 flashes and skilled players, and in my time in the server, I was never so absurdly flashed, so often, so terribly until recently, which prompted this vote to bring 1 flash per player. I suppose we weren't always 16K is one factor.
