Map suggestions for the go server

murkcity the one poll i saw had a 53%, oh well. I swear you are bad luck on favela, it plays really well most of the time. I vote to keep it in rotation.

Office, as I explained in the shoutbox, needs to go.

Most of the maps now do well, actually. It's quite nice that no matter what is picked, the game doesn't empty (unless it's getting late). Hell, even assault won't make people quit.

I dont remember which night it was, maybe Sunday? I only saw the one poll and it said 53%. I'm not doubting the other ones, I'm just saying it lags randomly.

I was on for two of those three rotations and the rare lag is universal and seems to be cl_cmd rate problem, it sends out the command and there is an error in console that causes a very short pause, I am sure this will be fixed shortly. Out of the two times I played it last night only one time had that pausing occur, the other I never noticed. I asked the group on my team if they were experiencing any lag and only a couple responded yes, the server was full for both rotations and everyone seemed to enjoy the map, it is a keeper.

I will call a truce on Season if we can get as_oilrig up and running on the GO server, I could than stomach a half hour of one poorly designed map with no flow or reasonable breach points for both teams, almost all of them suck for T.

We need a couple of the larger maps, what ever they are and also having the smaller melee maps, Office or Motel (please dear God not Office) and have them interspersed so not playing two large maps back to back, seems to give a break to the flow of the game and people do not run off as quickly to another server. The last few nights we seem to go from one large ass map to the next large ass map and the rounds take the whole time allotted and people who rush get bored quickly and leave. What you end up with is the same group of people who never saw an objective they felt the need to do or a teammate that ever needed cover fire..

Hmm, last time I checked the maps were only 20 minutes long nowadays.
 
Favela is entirely dependent on the level of stupidity and cowardice of each of the teams. no one player can really determine the winner on that map. I admit that retaking a site as T (and sometimes even taking it) can be a real pain, but it's possible. As a rush type player, I couldn't tell you why I like it, but I do.
 
What fast said is exactly why I've been so adamant about getting piranesi and fire on the server. Corruption is also pretty big and looks reasonably fun.

Piranesi would be a problem, there are 3 versions of the map on steam, that means if a user already has another version of the map, they won't be able to play on our server.
This is the biggest problem about adding custom maps to the server that are not officially supported by steam.

We had issues with mirage few weeks ago until they finally added that map to the official list because there were 2-3 versions on the steam workshop.
 
Shame about piranesi. Hopefully a differentiated version makes its way to the surface sooner rather than later. Hoping for fixed versions of prodigy and chateau too. I actually like all three of those maps quite a bit now that I think about it.

I'll run through the workshop in the next few days and see if I can find a few more new maps worth playing. Kyrenia is definitely sold on me, but one solid addition doesn't cut it.

What was the tag that glitched the server, so i know what to avoid? Was it _csgo, _csgo_final, or _b1? I remember being told to avoid something.
 
"se" kills us. I think having multiple versions of a map is the most annoying thing. When we would join mirage before and everyone would get DCd or when alexandra only DCd half the server because of different versions, i get annoyed as hell.
 
Favela blows and it always kills the server by more than half it seems. Would like to see Italy since only one hostage needs to be rescued.
