Male Contraceptives?

If it's not something you would try, why discuss it. It's like people who don't have kids trying to give advice to those that have children. The problem is when people read something on the web and assume that it's 100% accurate. If you want to offer an opinion on something, the safest way to do so is to stick to things you know something about, don't have to be an expert, but at least a basic knowledge that wasn't taken from Google.

Well there are quite a few educated people within this community and contraception is a major concern in our day and age. At this point it is only a lab experiment but thus far tests look promising. I'm not saying I wouldn't take it once it is approved, I'm just saying I'm not going to jump right into it and down a bottle! Also, this post just started as I posted the link to the video and suggested people check it out, the discussion has churned up as an after-effect.

Depends on your situation. But lets face it. Of the 8 reasons people were asked why they had sex, procreation was listed as the 8th reason. This means that of all the reasons people have sex, actually conceiving a child was the least important reasons based on our current society. So yes, the prevalence of contraceptives and safe-sex measures are a major concern for our society. Maybe not as much as say a failing economy, but if every time you had sex that meant you were having a baby, not many people would do it anymore.

Lol, still reading random shit and passing it off as original thought. The flaw is that you don't understand what you're reading. A 10 year old knows that first and foremost, people have sex because it feels good. You may treat sex as a statistic (if you've ever had it) but sex is a basic human need. There are many issues (a mountain more than 8) that drive human sexuality. Speaking as someone who has experienced a lot of them, for pleasure, for procreation, for procreation again because I lost my wife and child in an accident, so in that instant, if filled a need you can't even imagine. Out of almost all of these, contraception is a secondary concern. When actually engaging in sex, it is more of a spontaneous act, not a cold planned event. But often, youth think they know it all or that Google is god. I encourage everyone to think for themselves and try to be original. A trait lost on people today.

i only read part of the thread and did not watch the video... i dont like the idea of pills for many reasons, i recently have seen stories for an scientist from india that is developing some kind of injection that basically blocks and or shreds sperm on its way out rendering it unable to get to an egg, one injection they say would last around a decade and at any time you can just get a different injection to neutralize the first one. i dont like the idea of needles being around my dick or balls but from what ive read i like the idea of it, seems quick and simple and easily reversible and apparently this guy has been doing human testing in india only for like 2 decades? anyone else seen this story floating around? i guess im more ok with gettin a quick shot in my shit to stop it than taking some pills everyday.
