Male Contraceptives?

Clinical testing for humans will start eventually, who knows, maybe it will be a better alternative to what you and your significant other use.

Sorry but the only contraceptive I am using is timing or shower caps!

The trouble here is they have no clue what the long term effects of this stuff really is. They use some mice in a couple year study and think they have a clue what the long term effects are on the human body and fifty years down the road they find a link to some cancer. Screw that! Learn to use timing or just get a shower cap and be done with it. If you really can't afford the cost, emotionally of financially, than don't have vaginal sex. Be happy with a hummer and a hand job...

Fasttrak

This is true. It takes along time for these types of drugs to become main-stream and are considered acceptable and safe to sue. My guess is there will be 5-7 years of clinical tests before anything is given the OK.

Also, I much prefer the honda. No no the car, look it up.

ummm... besides NOTHING. lol.

u r dont use when r tryin to have pregnancy lawlz

Oh well an early congratulations to you and your wife/fiancee I am assuming. (first time I tried to type wife I typed wifi, lol) Best of luck to the both of you and I hope you have a wonderful experience with everything :)

Testosterone is a crucial hormone to maintaining the male reproductive track as it enables spermiogenesis to occur. Testosterone is only able to work in this fashion with the help of the androgen binding protein which concentrates testosterone to the testes (which is what eventually leads to the biochemical cascade that results in having your testes the size they are along with the maturation of sperm namely). Now when I see that the study showed that testes were reduced it makes me wonder where all that excess testosterone is going, or if it's even produced at all. This is where the psychological effects come into play, which is something we can't quite study in mice with any real confidence.

I'd wait until it gets to humans before taking this seriously, because the research field is constantly in the stage of animal testing (the lab I work at is a great example!)... the majority of which seldom make it to human trials and even further on, market distribution.

Also, I have no idea what the hell BRDT (the protein the JQ1 targets) is, flipping through my text and common knowledge, it must have another name... and it must be part of the aforementioned cascade above. Google didn't help me out either.

Yes once they hit human tests we will know for sure. As of now it is only in laboratory tests. We will see what happens. I'm sure this will gain more traction and attention in the next couple of years.

I'm not going to touch that with a 10 foot pole.
Whatever you two are talking about, I'm amusing inside joke or you two are dating/married, so I'll leave it well enough alone.
