Male Contraceptives?

:O as long as there's no long term effects. I'm down! Wait.. unless this totally kills the hormones so I dont wanna fuck then..I'm sorry liljenn I failed you..

Well according to the research it does not affect hormones. The only downside is up to a 33% reduction in the size of testicles. Once one has stopped taking the medication fertility returns to normal. It is a long way off the market, but we should see trials soon.

Watch the video, he explains all about how libido wasn't changed in the rats that were studied.

its called pulling out... works all the time lol!

nah. I dont trust it. Think about women that take the pill. Im not saying this is all women but I know from varied experience, the female contraceptive pill changes hormones and lowers libido. the same would happen for males. it would stop the production of testosterone (sp?) and may fuck up erection ability.

I hope you are not serious about the pull out method...

Also, the male version does not work on a hormonal level. It targets the protein responsible for cell division in the testicles that creates the sperm. The scientists state that in the lab tests the rats that were tested showed no changes in mating habits. The rats who were given the medication mated just as frequently as the control group and the rats were given higher and higher doses until all of the rats were causing no female rats to become pregnant. I highly suggest reading up on it. It is completely different than the female versions of contraception.

Also, Contraceptive only refers to CONTA (against) - CEPTION (fertilization), it does not refer to the fact that hormones are being effected, just that it prevents fertilization. Similar to this is CONTRA - GESTATION (attaching to the wall) which prevents the fertilized egg from attaching itself to the wall of the uterus (IUD's for example).

Seriously, read up on it. No hormones are altered, only the protein responsible for the division of cells inside the testicles.

I'm not going to touch that with a 10 foot pole.
Whatever you two are talking about, I'm amusing inside joke or you two are dating/married, so I'll leave it well enough alone.

Sorry but the only contraceptive I am using is timing or shower caps!

The trouble here is they have no clue what the long term effects of this stuff really is. They use some mice in a couple year study and think they have a clue what the long term effects are on the human body and fifty years down the road they find a link to some cancer. Screw that! Learn to use timing or just get a shower cap and be done with it. If you really can't afford the cost, emotionally of financially, than don't have vaginal sex. Be happy with a hummer and a hand job...
