Sudden FPS drop

OK so I got home from work yesterday super excited to play some CS:GO MM but when I joined my first game I noticed my fps was much lower than usual! I usually would get between 60-100 but now the highest I go is about 65 but it will only stay there for a second or two. Any Ideas or suggestions? I'm at a huge disadvantage, at this fps i feel like i'm lagging.
 
Your PC is clearly acting out because you've been depriving it alcohol. Get drunk and don't forget to share some on your keyboard and a little on the top of your case. You can then look forward to upwards of 250 FPS with frequent piss breaks of 0 FPS.

You might have had an issues with the recent patch. Your options are A) google troubleshoot or B) wait for the next patch that will maybe fix it.
 
This would happen every now an then for me and I would just verify file cache and that would usually do the trick or a pc restart
 
Terminate gameoverlay.Exe and enjoy... That one program brings my pc to it's knees

That is the shift +tab for chat during game play.... I will get about 40fps in GO because of it... End task and right back to my 450fps
