Piggles - 1 Day Ban for ping masking

Why do people even bother masking their pings? Don't they get autokicked by a server plugin anyway?
 
The only reason for me personally to ping mask is to play a climb server somewhere overseas that has an autokick if over 150 ping or whatever. I'm not sure whats going on though, Lately a bunch of people have 1-5 ping and that live in areas like long beach or other in the US areas, and I dont think theyre ping masking. Some weird glitch or something maybe. I am leaving piggles alone about it, since has has 60 ping if you check status and is in LBC and claims to have no clue about how to ping mask.

Mos def had a super low ping the other day and Ive never noticed him ping masking before. So its odd.
 
I don't know how to ping mask, but I've gotten as low as 2ms but never matches the ping counter (net_graph 1 which I can only go as low as 6ms
