our names, explained...

When I first started playing on the Server i used Axess... then i started hopping names. I took the name L because i started watching deathnote, I also took it so it would be easier knifing in the long hall of Office. ie if somone hovers over my body while im in my knife spot, there is a chance they'll react to a small name than they would a longer name.
 
hmm, well... in the old days of cs 1.3 - 1.6, i used to play as LilBunnyFooFoo (because who wants to be headshot and teabagged by a nursery rhyme, amirite?) but figured that probably wouldn't cut it in a new, different community where i was trying to foster a reputation for being a serious player. so, when i found the 47r server, i was trying to come up with a name... thinking hard, mind you... and my wife came up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder, asking if i was OK. i started to mumble something incoherent, turned around and sure as shit, she was standing there with nothing but a vertical smile and a grin on her face. all i could think about (before i passed out from lack of blood to the brain) was, "holy shit! that right there makes me want to do some baaaaaaad things" and that she was made to be naked... built for it, in fact (mmm mmm mmm! love me some curvy girls... finger-licking good! haha). and well, yeah, there you have it. later on, it occurred to me that the name also fit me, personally, as there have been times in my life where i haven't necessarily stayed on the straight and narrow path. (i'll leave those stories for in-person retellings lol). now, i use the baby with the tats to symbolize the idea of born-to-be-bad or built-4-sin(ning)

i remember this kind of thread being made several years ago and several years before that; i told folks my name came from my wife, but i never told the full story till now. i'd throw up a picture or two of the wife from like 10+ years ago (fully clothed, you stinkin' perverts! :eek: ) but i wouldn't want you folks to injure your shooting hands with friction burns

Damn, dugger, how'd you know?!?!? lol, nah, although i do like that version better... and no, it's not from DBZ. My roommates in college had a Rainbow6 clan, [VIRTUA]. They had a nice tactic w/ the HBS that made them notorious campers. In CS, they'd camp a lot, too. They'd camp and get one or two kills... which is fine in R6, cuz it's usually 2v2, 3v3, up to 5v5 if you're lucky. If you've played CS w/ me, you've undoubtedly noticed that patience isn't a virtue of mine. I was the rusher of the bunch. I just realized I've had this nick since last century!

My other nick (my steam guest account) is engiNURD (my nick @ [H]). Not hard to guess how i got this one :p but all my engineering classmates that played used some version of "NERD" in their nick.
 
I still can't get over half of the anime fans here are white. I feel like Heston, waking up in a backwards world. :p

where I grew up 90% of people were white... so naturally most of the anime.. yu-geio( fuck spelling)... pokemon.. magic the gathering... well they were white
 
my daughter (white) is HUGE into anime and manga. i suppose it could be attributed, at least in part, to her growing up in an ethnically diverse area. many of the families here originate from southern and eastern asia and she has a bunch of friends of such descent. along with cosplay, it's become a cultural thing around here and very much the norm.

what i find funny is just how big i was into anime when i was a kid without realizing it: Star Blazers, Robotech, Voltron, Transformers, Go-Bots, TMNT... not to mention comic books and video games... so maybe she actually gets it from me! what do you think, Jackie? :jchan:
