I saw a post on Reddit a few months back where people would call in to their ISP and say "Why are new people getting treated better than I am when I've been with you for XX long? Am I not a valued customer?" and they were able to continue getting the promotion price.

I always yell at them because we paid like $60 a month for 20 mbps and on a good day, we'll get like 14 at my old apt. i agree with kaM tho, guilt trip them into giving you a better price. if you're lucky and there's other service providers in the area, you can also say you are thinking about switching to them because they offered a better deal

Shitty thing is I live maybe half a block away from a companies boundary for 1 gig fiber for only $49 a month for life
If you have another option (FiOS, u-verse, etc), go for it, otherwise, you'll have to keep calling until you find someone who will give you the promo.

no other options no promo since we are a gated community and no other provider is available not even DSL. If you don't sign up with Time Warner, you don't get internet.

The fastest option in my area is the 50Mb connection from TW for $100 a month. It's totally Meh
