Goodbye GoDaddy! Hello Google!

Yeah, it's not that much for domain registration compared to hosting and other services, but it's been gradually climbing up in price. GoDaddy used to be more generous with coupon codes, but the majority of them now exclude renewals, so they sucker you in with $7.99 domain and pay double or more each year after. I currently have 26 domains in my GoDaddy account, so $10 savings would be more like $260 in savings for me. Yo Dawg, I'll have to go Google about Google now.

I think you are probably confusing with web hosting. We switched web hosts few times, but we have been with this one host for well over a year now and so far I've been very happy with them.
But no, we never used GoDaddy hosting and I would probably never!
 
Yah, godaddy has been goin up in price nearly every. :( I'm not that active with my domains, though, so I'll wait for it open up.

They use to have some generous coupons when I first bought the domain, but in the recent years their prices and discounts started sucking for existing customers. Their website and control panel is a total turnoff, they keep advertising shit that you don't need, and if you don't be careful then you might end up signing up for something that you really don't need...

Yah, i had to call 'em up to cancel some shit i didnt even order, but they claim i did on the website. I was supposed to switch a while ago, but just too lazy.
