Goodbye GoDaddy! Hello Google!

We are moving on after being with GoDaddy for almost 8 years for our domain registrar. Their service is expensive, so we decided to move on to Google Domains, which is $12 a year and it includes free privacy option for domain owners!

The change took us less than 45 minutes! So far I am happy with everything!

Yup, Domain transfers are super quick, took me 45 minutes to complete the whole process, most of the waiting was from GoDaddy's end to have them release the domain to Google Inc. Plus their service is cheaper and better!

Also it feels kinda special because this is in beta stage and not everyone has access to this, you actually have to be invited by Google in order for you to buy & use the service. Applied for this months ago and got my invite this morning!
This alone is saving us around $10-12 a year!

I ran the numbers and the savings is about $15 a year. It also helps that they don't charge taxes for now...
