Hey guys, I need your help. When you bought your engagement ring for your lady where did buy? I need help finding a good website. Within a $1000 budget.

I already know about over stock, eBay and Amazon.

What other suggestions?
 
I'm divorced, do I count?

I went to the one in SF and spent entirely too much, but it was a very nice ring for the price. And to anyone who wonders, I did get it back. haha

Go to a direct diamond dealer and shop for a stone that meats your liking and the pick a nice setting... Pawn shops are okay
 
an engagement ring is one expensive symbol. reminds me of that joke...

"we'll regret it if we don't get something bigger" -wife to be at the jewlry store
"we'll regret it if we don't get something bigger" -husband at the tv store

anyhow, yah, the jewlryexchange is where many of my buddies got theirs.

We have a few picked out but haven't made any decisions yet. We're going totally non-traditional with everything & that's the way I want it! I'm very excited.

I got my wife's engagement ring for $988 otd from Zales...trick Is to buy when they have a 40 to 60% off diamond sale. Her ring "msrp" was $2000
