I was going to write this tldr post about this last night, but I was too drunk and nothing made sense so I finished my drink and passed out instead.

took me several years to figure out how bad a drunk i am (loud, angry, prick) - but only seconds to realize i'm a really happy hippy.
imho, everyone needs a vice/release. sometimes it just takes a while to figure out which is right for you.
don't trip too much on the inebriated mistakes you make. "under the influence" means just that. you're not acting normal. acknowledge and own your oop'ses. try not to make them again. move on the best you can. it's the best you can do for both yourself and the folks around you.
