i'm interested in the game itself, synopsis? is it like rust or DayZ or what?
It's like any generic zombie survival game, you need food and water pretty frequently, and it's very easy to die until you figure the game out. It is easier to find weapons in 7 days over dayz, and the game isn't glitched out like dayz, where a zombie will warp through a wall and when you try to hit him with an axe, it somehow misses the first shot and he hits you, and you bleed out, and have a fractured arm, and then die and lose everything. haha There is a map and when you do die, you leave a backpack behind that will show up on the map, so you can go back and get it. If you die before you get it, it will replace the backpack on the map with your new death spot, but I believe both backpacks are still there.
There are a few unique things to this game over others. It has crafting, but it requires more than two items usually to make anything good. Like, the basic weapon you need is a stone axe, but to craft it, you don't just need wood and stone. You need sticks from bushes, sharped stone crafted by regular stones and plant fiber, crafted from grass. And the zombies react differently daytime vs nighttime. During the day, they slowly walk after you and it's easy to get away, but at nighttime, they sprint after you, and you aren't safe even sitting still in a house with the doors locked. They will break in and get you probably in the first night. So you MUST build spike walls, or some kind of defense against the dozen or so zombies breaking down your house. There are also random hoards of zombies that will pass by, with 10-20 zombies. And there are zombie dogs, that chase you, day or night, and they will kill you unless you have a gun. And finding items and weapons is much easier. You can search every car or bag of trash you see on the road, and there are a lot, and find an item maybe every 2-3 things you search.
As far as building houses, I have not gotten that far yet. I know you can craft walls and stairs and whatnot, but to the extent you can be creative, I don't know. I've currently just holed up in an existing house, with spike walls all around the exterior.
