What's new

Merry Christmas to ME!

Omg 21,000$?!?! And you had to talk him down?! 7% is high as hell for a new car. TAKE IT BACK NOW. Wait to be able to finance the car for a better %! 7% is so high! If my math is correct, you'll pay close to 36,000$ for this car by the time your done paying for it.
her payments are $350... x60, +500 = $21.5k

I assumed she was talking about the principle payment. I guess that would make sense now. 7% isn't bad in the long run if you never had a long line of credit before either.
principle only payments are typical for real estate, but not cars.
kami, did you factor that 7% as compounded annually or as a percentage, monthly?

either way, if you can afford the payments, that's a nice buy, D.
car payments dont typically fluctuate. they give you a set amount for a certain number of months, so the 7% + TTL are already included.

Congratulations Desire, you did pretty well. It's about $18,500, Out-The-Door. Options?
If $18K (-$500 down) @ 7% for 60mos, then yes, $360/mo, $21,400 Total.
