What phone do you use?

Ewwww... Verizon garbage phone...
Hey now, I'm really not really trying to defend the Droid Turbo, but I'm curious if it's just the name or carrier that makes you say that.
Both Motorola, same cpu & ram as Nexus 6. Droid Turbo's got a smaller screen but big battery & 21mp camera. I'd assume the Nexus would be supported longer, but even the low end Moto G & E got Lollipop.
Verizon has amazing coverage, but they have to have their hands in everything (testing/approving of updates), which can ruin the fun & future for even a Nexus.

Still on S3 with SlimKat. Seriously pissed about locked BL on the new Gs with Verizon. If we did not get a freak'n nice discount from them I would have switched.

the droid turbo is an excellent phone actually. I bought on for my mom on release day because her phone was poo poo.

battery life is no where near the 48 hour claim. My mom does FB on it and that's about it. She has about 15% at the end when I have about 40%

I know same specs, that is why I bought it for her.

What they charge for their data plans is wrong, LTE is slow T-mobile HSPA+ is faster then their LTE. When you have a phone that is held back because of a data limit and avoiding the ridiculous exorbitance prices for overages then you don't really enjoy your phone the way it was designed.

I have T-mobile, I don't get great service in the boonies but I never go to the boonies. I use about 18Gb of data a month at over 50Mbps on their LTE and at least 22 on HSPA+.

NO BLOATWARE!!!!!!!!!!!

No contract, $54 a month for unlimited UNTHROTTLED data and get excellent coverage.

PS- the FCC just passed law limiting drastically the cost of data that mobile carriers charge for, Big Red pitched a fit.

Verizon in SoCal has the fastest LTE speeds, actually. So, I guess it just depends on your area.

18GB?? wait you get unlimited LTE?
I have modified the kernel so the phone does not report any difference between cellular and Hotspot data. I watch a couple of movies, youtube, Netflix and hulu on my laptop and tablet.

Yes unlimited LTE, no contract and here Verizon has nearly ubiquitous coverage but it is slow. On Verizon my USAA banking ap would time out. T-Mobile is easily many fold faster.

I'm using the original HTC One m7 xD. I want to upgrade to the M9 but the specs are around the same.
