v4servers.com officially dead

Just found out today that their website and servers are no longer online.
It's a shame, I wanted to acquire them, they use to run 2 top 20 servers, but things have gone down hill the last few years since they moved hosts and changed IP's.

Sometimes it requires a great deal of regulars and a strong bunch of squad members to keep one community going.

Glad we have been around for over 11 years and counting!
 
When <Woof>'s CS server went down for some time, we absorbed a lot of their players (I'm guessing because they are a WC D2 only server as well). Not sure if it is back up, but there are a number of D2 dedicated servers that aren't just giant shit storms (i.e., =ego= servers w/ 48 people).

I imagine with v4's passing, we'll be seeing a mid to short term resurgence of server population from 4-5 years ago. I know that I've had to wait in line to get in haha

Haha I know this last few weeks I been on the waitlist for the server and even had to kick afkers to make more room for fellow Ronins and pubbers. Too bad v4 went down I use to play there often until pubbers started getting mad at me for holding out short A all the time -_-. Welp time to brace ourselves for more waitlist to join our servers :D
 
Many servers go out of business because clans don't have a donation system, or drive members to donate, other than donations you have to have other revenue options such as AdSense & VigLink...Unfortunately I still need to pay taxes on, but they also help paying the server bills on the slow months.
We mainly use the Adsense & Viglink funds to pay for website mods/xenforo license/ custom templates.

Some clans need to have a full game plan to stay afloat. Otherwise you will not last for long.
 
I have a confession, I was originally from v4. It was my old clan that created v4 after our old clan broke up, then some of the members created v4. They created v4, since I can't remember the main server we played at before, but that server went down, and it was one of the top servers at the time.

After a while, I stopped playing on v4 due to lack of consistent players or full servers and when I was looking for a Dust 2, no Awp server, I found 47 Ronin =D, must have been destiny =D
