Video is a few years old now but still good for the price point. So far I think I did pretty good including the monitor and the shipping costs to keep it below while maintaining the option for future upgrades. It's still a work in progress i.e. if prices drop on other hardware. Thanks for the vid!!

I don't see any combos in there. Hunt for newegg combo deals or find deals on those/alternative parts. The guys at Gen[H]ard are good at deal hunting, so you can post a build thread there. I'm way too tired to check, but I'm sure you could do a lot better.

Apparently they have their own chrome extension to compare prices with newegg and amazon simultaneously, gonna check that out.

You could save a few dollars by not using an optical drive and installing your OS by USB.

If you live close to a Microcenter they have the cheapest CPU prices around $199.99 for a AMD A10-5800K, They also have some great combo deals.
I hear Best Buy will match Microcenter (I have yet to test this out).

what OS do you plan to use?

Windows 7, but its a budget gaming rig, so I kind of need my optical drive. And the A10 5800k is only $120 on newegg.
