Steam Machines. Buy or No?

My friend bought the alienware alpha and he was disappointed with the graphics to say the least, some games actually perform worse than consoles.
I would suggest waiting for the NVIDIA Shield that is coming out, it might be worth checking out.
Wow. Somehow that's how I felt that the results were going to be.

Because, Steam Machines are aiming for the casual crowd, and not the typical Hardcore PC players. Valve wants to expand outside of the PC world, so they built a computer-in-a-console. One that will be able to be used on your normal entertainment TV.

Couch, bed, dining room, the football game room, the bar, etc.

Just hook up your rig to your TV get a wireless mouse and keyboard..... or wired if you like sitting real close to tv!

I did look at it but the price plus paying for a controller that I would never want to use = waste of money to me. It would be cool if they built one that were fully interchangeable with all parts but still your going to run into that whole we need you to buy the next version shit. Just seems like an overpriced desktop that lacks a lot.

But the one plus is its small and looks pretty :D
