S-dawg admin abuse

Is it right for an admin to take action upon you without telling you the reason and ignoring you?

im not butt hurt for no reason. i like talking to my teammates when i play. i knew most of the guys in the server. all i wanted was a reason. im not complaining as much as seeing whether or no its right for an admin to use powers without telling you why

all i asked you for was a reason and you were being an asshole. i feel i deserve to know why i was muted and gagged
 
Often times, the admins get a flood of requests and complaints, some not seen publicly used by Steam or admin chat. It's not so black and white with some scenarios. If I receive multiple complaints or the one complaint is from a known regular & trusted source, I would gag/mute if 1 person may be disrupting the game for others. Perhaps the person complaining this time around should've just muted on his end (usually the case), but we won't know now.

There's a lot of players who don't respond in-game and I get frustrated thinking that guy must be an a-hole to leave people hanging. What we never know is what's really going on at his/her end, like if they went to the bathroom, grabbed a snack, or looked at a TV after dying. In this case, S-Dawg has already had a complaint and could very well take your comment about muting him as just asking for more trouble. Of course, I wasn't there and am only guessing possibilities, but there's a lot of potential for misunderstanding and I'm guilty of it far too often.

Long story short, I understand your frustration, but I'm sure his primary intentions were only to maintain peace and tranquility among a violent game.

I agree it was a pity mute and gag. Nothing to cry wolf about. However, you guys don't have to be so mean to the fella. He just doesn't liked to be gagged :p
 
Keep in mind, the MIC is for in-game communication, not to hear your life story.
We have a no-MIC spam rule, you're lucky he just mute you.
 
In my (short) experience as an admin, the only people who complain to the admins about mic spam are non-admin members/regulars with the large amount of credibility that comes from hours of shared playtime. It seems likely the mute was justified. Also, there are many people who are muted, and then later unmuted. It's not like the mute/gag was going to be permanent.
 
Understood that you didn't like getting muted, but you weren't slayed every round or slapped or buried , so it would not count as admin abuse. You must have been muted for a specific reason, maybe cause a fellow player must have told S-Dawg that. In all, nothing major really happened, just a temp mute.

i think a mute or gag action is pretty self explanatory. :LOL:

which is why i mute without warning. you know what you said. just dont say what you said. retry and keep saying it will only get you banned.
