Router Review

@v.Kamikaze I see your "Meh!" What's your XP rocking for a router? Does it have 11b yet? 33.6 or 56k?:devil::devil:

I love giving you a hard time cuz we both know you could be on a 486 and voodoo3 card and still run circles around me in css. ;)
lol, the "meh" was for the last decade of gear comment... my older gear definitely lasted longer than these newer models, but then again, the gear i'm talking about isn't from the past decade - its older! lol... u know, back when D-Link was all metal and had lifetime warranties on everything.

i think i have the same router space is reviewing, lol. i may not upgrade my os/sw on this machine often, but my hardware is usually more recent. my peripherals, on the other hand, are a mixture; while i do have the newer gear, i dont use them as much. e.g. @el jorge loco was admiring my G500, especially the fact that it's still new in box, lol.

It's definitely hit and miss. Some things were built like a tank. Overall, I guess I meant for something so important to a household, it should be something more reliable and yet, so many out there are losing connections, need reboots constantly, etc. It's kind of like the irony of a spinning hard drive. It's the most valuable part of a computer (storing all of your photos/videos/etc) and yet it's the most fragile/unreliable. I'm surprised by now, it's not yet just one of those "it just works" devices. It's heading in the right direction though. :)

I need to get a router extender...spent $200 on a damn router last year and the signal totally sucks 2 rooms down.
