That car is worth over 100 grand, yet the car bursts into fire and is reduced to ashes...no matter if you pay $1 or 1,000,000 for a car, you end up getting the same results.
Porsche is going to get some bad publicity about their safety of the car too now.
Yea them Porsche's are bursting in to flames is not something that is new... As I recall Ryan Dunn's Porsche burst into flames as well, although he was doing 130+ when it happened, but I think that in a front end collision with a Porsche 911 having a gas tank in the front of the vehicle doesn't help matters.
I understand where your coming from Gaspar. I had some battle buddies die and some that lived with grotesque burns or loss of limbs during OIF 1 and can totally understand your perspective on that. The media doesn't put too much importance on remembering the fallen as much as us military guys do... its a sad fact of life. Just recently I got in contact with a friend who was lucky enough to just lose his arm and shatter both of his legs after an IED exploded under his HUMVEE... and when I say "LUCKY" I mean it... I have pictures of the HUMVEE were the steering wheel was bent up with the break pedal pushed up to with in a foot of the steering wheel and chunks of his arm on the side of the vehicle. The explosion launched the front driver side tire over 300 meters down the road. In talking to him he has been suffering from PTSD as many of us are, realized or not, and was only given 80% disability... I was like are you fucking shitting me!!!! Don't get me wrong I am the first guy to say, if you don't need it don't take it, as I have not taking disability for anything because I feel that there are other guys out there who need it more than I do and I would rather kill my self than take away from them or make it harder for them to get their benefits. I had VA guys telling me to apply for anything and everything.. but I did, and still do refuse just based on that principle, but for him to lose and arm and shatter both legs... I mean come on man! I am the 3rd generation of my family who have volunteered for service, my grandfather and his 5 brothers were all in WWII and my father in Vietnam, and none of us have taken held our hands out asking for something because we were fortunate enough to come away in 1 peace. I am not saying that Vet's don't deserve benefits for PTSD I am just saying that a lot of shit bags abuse it for a free ticket to do nothing. It is sad that the few ruin it for the many... but again this is another unfortunate fact of life.
But needless to say society may not immortalize the fallen from the military, but the current and former members of the military do, and as you and I both know they will never be forgotten!
