Sorry josh. It's my fault for starting this MM Thing. I help populating the server when I can. I don't have admin power which makes it really hard. For example, I finally get some people to play on dust2 and there is only 3 4 minutes left on the map. The map changes to office and everyone leaves. I have to wait until the map goes back to dust2 and try again. After during that for couple days straight, I just give up on it.

All of you have reasons and most of them are ok reasons but I dont care what your friends are doing or how sitty you think the reg or whatever is on the server. If its 9 PM and you see it empty you should try to populate even if only for 10 minutes. If you try for 10 minutes and no one shows up, fine, whatever, go back to MM but I'm still gonna be upset when I see you for multiple reasons.
1. I dont know that you tried to pop
2. 10 minutes at 9 pm is a lame attempt
3. you are part of the 47R. That really doesnt mean much because its a gaming group and those never mean a whole lot but it does mean that you have a responsibility to take part in the server. If you just say "fuck it, poping is boring and my friends want to MM" then you shouldnt put 47R in front of your name, not because you arent worthy or some stupid reason like that but because you arent really a part of the group. You dont pull your weight or take the actions you signed up for. If poping is to horrendous an experience for you than honestly you shouldnt be in 47R. Ill still be your friend and play MM with you dont just keep 47R tag because we love you.
I dont demand or expect anyone to populate everyday or even often. All I expect is that if the server is empty at 7pm or later AND you are getting on gaming anyway TRY and populate. If NOTHING happens after 10 minutes FINE. Just try for 10 minutes, If your friends cant wait that long then I guess you just have to choose between playing with them and me being upset with you. honestly I would choose my friends over some random guy possibly being upset but its still a choice you make.
Lastly this only applies if you are GAMING at these times. If you have work or family things PLEASE do that first because gaming is the least important thing in our lives.

I was going to get all testy(cle) but naw.
So for all the huffing, I think I may have the answer. Twice now the server has just crashed at random (in 20 min time). The server is empty because it's unstable. Time to go back to whatever setup we had before, it worked much better than this.

You may be right about that. I haven't been in longer than 15 minutes so I haven't witnessed the crash @IcEWoLF anyway to check logs and see if we have been crashing?
I will chip in whatever is required to go back to what we had before. Server performance has been much worse lately, and this is just another thing to add to the list.

I'm not sure how to interpret the new net_graph but the middle number hovers in the yellow and dips into the red frequently when full. Reg gets bad during the starts of rounds and I get much better if not perfect reg in a MM server. Reg as bad as our server ruins the game for me. No lie, I blasted a guy in the face with an awp a second and a half later he dies and scrolls up on the ticker.
I'm not sure what we can do to fix this or make it better but going back to vds, if that is what we did, seems to have made the high tic rate useless.

The server crashed today because valve released an update late. They have been releasing the updates late these days for some reason, they use to release updates earlier in the day before.
