hay i was dieing when i saw the first official pokemon movie! my mom fell asleep, i remember it vividly, ash got turned to stone and pikachu was trying to wake his ass up and and... Q_Q

QUIET its star WARS i guarantee you this trilogy will be the best of the 3, and THERE WILL BE an oscar
 
jesus man. Im gonna remember this. If they turn out to be incredible and "masterpieces" I will give all the props you deserve but im telling you man, they are not gonna be THAT good. Def not better then the originals. J.J.'s first star trek may have been the second best Star Trek movie but Star Trek is all about the shows anyway. Star Wars is only movies and it wont be that good.
 
alright, bet it is on! JJ abrahms will shy away from the CGI and go back to old school... and mark hamill playing an obi wan role... oh lawd

to be honest even if it does suck il probably think it doesnt... good thing theres 3 COMING UP
 
JJ did not make real star trek movies... They were cgi heavy action films that used characters from the tv show... It was no way actually a star trek film... They don't revolve around action and they get better on smaller budgets... First contact was a bad ass star trek movie because it was actually a star trek movie... Go watch al 7 seasons of TNG and tell me how that JJ garbage is a star trek move at heart

Yes! First Contact is by far the best I think the fist JJ Abrams Star Trek was pretty good. Kim of bullshit and a cheap out with the time travel thing? Yeah. But it was entertaining and I haven't seen all the other Star Trek movies, maybe 4 of them not including the JJ ones.

Lucas literally went to a professor who specializes in the study of similarities between epic and ancient works of literature throughout time and was like "give me the most typical generic and perfectly planned to follow the pattern that humans as people most enjoy"

Third point: Masterpieces? Seriously? JJ Abrams is good and all but the last Star Trek wasn't very good and the best thing he was ever a part of was LOST and I don't even think he was the main writer or main director. It'll be good but masterpiece is not gonna happen. I would be a lot more exited if it was Christopher Nolan directing it.

Point 4: all this is opinion.

What if we just combine LOTR and Star Wars AND Star Trek... Legolas can shoot lightsaber arrows and when he's done, the Enterprise picks him up and they boldly go where no man has gone before in search of his father. Gimli can be R2D2.
 
GOT TO REVIVE THIS THREAD:

okay okay, we all agree episode 1-3 was the worst screenplay/acting in the world (besides liam neilson and obiwan) but in the end it did its job, in telling the early life of darth vader. still it sucked at doing it.

now erase 1-3, and go from 4-6, imagine now... its 30 years later, the story has been planned since the 70's. lucas has been waiting to unleash this beast (thank god he has another director telling the story though....)

LUKE is master jedi... han solo and leiah have babies, BUT luke (who's already trying to rebuild the jedi order) trains one or more of the squirts as jedi's in hope of reviving the order?! sorry but the original actors returning is enough

but now i hear rumors of obi-wan having a DAUGHTER (or niece), it makes sense in the fact he let anakin have a relationship.... still. wow. sorry but the story is a win. and the fact that 'Benedict cumberbatch' is joining this cast just sealed the deal. i'll be their on opening day.

I wish they had played Anakin as the tragic hero in 2-3 and not a shit headed brat. I will most likely see this after it has been out for a week and the reviews are in and the crowds have died down. Was a big fan of 4-5-6 when I was younger, seeing something that isn't a train wreck of acting would be nice.
