Alright after watching tonight's game between the Bengals and Broncos, I have my predictions.
AFC Championship - Pittsburg vs. Patriots
Patriots have played well all year and are almost unstoppable at home. They are balanced on both sides of the ball and Revis Island is back once again. Also its hard to count Tom Brady out especially with a run game again.
Steelers are probably the most consistent and complete team in the AFC in my opinion. They have the Killer B's in Big Ben, Brown and Bell and their defense is playing incredible.
AFC Champ Pick - Pittsburg Steelers 27-17
The Steelers have exactly what it takes to beat the Patriots and I just don't see the Patriots stopping Le'veon Bell in both the running and passing game. And are the hottest AFC team right now. The O-Line has really gelled together to become a strong cohesive unit. Bell has been putting up crazy stats and when teams try to stop him Big Ben will just dump it over the top to Brown. The defense is young with great veterans mixed in and have really come into their own in the second half of the season.
NFC Championship - Seattle vs. Dallas
Seattle is back to what they do best. They are running the ball and moving Wilson out of the pocket to extend plays and the defense has been reborn. Wagner has been the difference in how they have been playing down the stretch.
Dallas is the most balanced team and most efficient in all of NFL. The running game is stifling defenses and the play action pass is exposing every team who tries to put eight in the box. The Defense has also stepped it up the past few weeks.
NFC Champ Pick - Dallas Cowboys 34-20
This was tough for me because I love this team. But I had to put this aside and go on what I see. Seattle and Dallas are the two hottest teams in the NFL. These two teams played earlier this year and Seattle lost Kam Chanselor and Bobby Wagner half way thru the game. But despite that, Dallas dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and contained Russel Wilson from scrambling out of the pocket. The Dallas O-Line is arguably the best in the NFL and opens gaping holes for Murray to run thru. And when teams try to stack the box Romo throws it to Witten, Bryant, Williams, or Beasley for huge gains if not touchdowns. Dallas has just enough to win this for me.
Super Bowl - Dallas vs. Steelers
That's right. I predict a rematch of Super Bowl XXX that had Dallas and the Steelers also facing off in Arizona. And to make things fun I will predict the same outcome. Dallas winning 27-17
Regardless of what happens this has been one of my favorite years watching the NFL. Entering week sixteen the AFC still had TWELVE TEAMS!!!! That's right twelve teams that still had a shot at the playoffs. And with everyone beating up on each other in the NFC for the six teams that did make it, the seeding is still unknown going into week seventeen. Its going to be very interesting on how everything turns out! So to all the football fans out there its been fun enjoying the season with ya and if you got teams in the playoffs then good luck and enjoy the season!!!!
