There is only one spot on the screen which could be considered a minor scratch

You can't see and imperfections while the screen is on. Display has to be off and viewed with a reflection of a bright light to see anything.

It's the same model as my phone, @Buddhist - it's probably unlocked for any carrier that uses sim cards.
