Need help...

I am not sure whats going on, but when I run 3DMark benchmark my card starts going nuts.


Around the 15 seconds mark you will hear a loud buzzing noise.
 
That what we call Coil whine issues.

Electronically, this is normal but it bothers the heck out of me. There is no way around it, sorry.

This only happens when I run 3DMark.
I guess this sucker is going back to Newegg...
If they still out of stock for the MSI then I will probably get a store credit...I will then probably try a different brand then.
Disappointing to say the least.

Be careful, it may be your PSU. The reason it didn't happen before because your old card didn't put much load like the new 1080.
Find ways to rule out your PSU first...
 
The old card used more energy, it was the 980 gtx ti. Which was 2 x 8 pins instead of 6+8.
 
Been hearing things about coil whine. Might just be the current driver not running optimized, which is what nvidia is making us believe.

He's using a EVGA 850w. The G2 has a 70.8a 12v rail which is plenty to run a ~200ish watt card @ 100%

Bet bet is to send a ticket into MSI and see if they have a solution/answer and see which offers the quickest return/replacement from newegg or MSI
 
MSI probably has the slowest RMA, rather just return it to Newegg and maybe try a different model since the chances of them having the same version in stock is slim to none.
That means a refund...which means I will need to put up with the 760 gtx for another week or so lol.
