What's new

Need help deciding

Damn that is cheap for a 3770K, seriously a good price. I had not realized they had gotten down so low.
It's MC's doorbuster; they've been doing it for several years now (typically around $50 off newegg prices and another $40-$50 off a qualifying mobo). It's hard to get Fry's to pricematch MC's CPU prices. MC will also pricematch newegg/Fry's/etc as long as its not below their cost. Oh, and the deal fluctuates, especially the cpu/mobo combo deal. I've gotten my last 6 CPU/Mobo combos from them, lol, starting w/ my Q6600 back when everyone was looking for the SLACR spec for OC'ing potential. :D

We used to have a Micro Center up North but it was shut down a few years ago. I had been inside a couple times but at that time their prices and product selection was kind of pewp. The only one in CA now is down in the Tustin area and they will not ship those well priced CPU, in store pickup only. When the new Intel lineup gets released, I will have to brow beat Fry's and see if they will price match.

i forgot to mention......
As you know, microcenter has the best prices for intel cpus. They had/having the 3770k for as low as $209, if you're close to mc then i would get from them.
If you're far from mc, now here's the cool part...........many people have tried and succeed.........

Best buy and amazon are price matching microcenter cpu prices but you need to call in to talk to the reps directly, good luck!!!

just to let you all know. I just got the i-7 3770k from best buy. Called them up and they price matched micro center right away. No one else will. And they ship to store so i dont have to pay shipping!!!

Holy crap. Paid 325+ for my sandy bridge i7 2600k about a year or more back. That's a steal.

They closed last summer cuz they couldn't come to an agreement on the lease (link). I was actually in town that week and was hoping to get some stuff on sale. However, they didn't do a closeout sale because they planned on finding another location in the bay area. I guess they still haven't found one yet, lol.

Let me know what price BB gives you, and I'll see what I can do. Many BB managers won't match that price because they'll get in trouble for it, since it's below their cost... or so I've heard.

MC had the same price for the 2600k as what they're currently running for the 3770k. ;) Although, it took a bit longer for them to promo it... they had the 3570k only, until around summer.

If they won't, LMK, and I can probably ship it to you for around $5.50 USPS Priority (+ cost of cpu, hehe).

SO you got the 3770K for $229? did you apply the $20 coupon code on top of that for $209?
