mouse not working?!?

so i have a perixx mx2000 gaming mouse. when it works, it's fucking great. i just built a new rig but i noticed that when i install my drivers for my motherboard, the mouse ceases to function. the lights on the mouse are still on and i can change the colors and shit on them through a small program, but i cannot use the mouse for mouse things (scroll, click, move cursor). I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, resetting mouse to factory standards and it still doesn't work. I know the mouse is not broken because it works on other computers, just not my new one. Anyone have any clues what the issue might be?

Most newer motherboards have primary USB 2.0 ports where the old PS\2 ports for mouse and keyboard used to sit on the header. Make sure you use these headers if your board is setup in this manner. For some of these boards those ports are loaded at a low level so UEFI\BIOS can boot with them operating. Also, some boards use two brands of USB controllers, make sure you have all your drivers installed for both if you have more than one, like an Intel USB chip and an Asmedia chip. As a test remove all USB items except the mouse and keyboard and see what happens.

not drivers for your mouse... drivers/sw for your board are probably conflicting with your mouse sw.
