Is the monitor included in your 1k budget? I wouldn't factor in the MIR's until they actually come back with cash in your hand. I've had many MIR's fail on me.
edit: just saw iceman's build... not bad, if you increase your budget by $85, since you'd have to front that money. You don't live near a microcenter, so an intel combo is not likely to be within your budget (you'd need at least $100 more). I'd also go for the PRO version of that board over the EVO, for only $5 more.
oh, and get the 7970 from surrender if you can afford the extra $100 over the 750TI.

Ah crap your right i put the evo board down not the pro whoops. Stupid 130-2am builds. If i can ever fall asleep ill make a newer build when I wake up maybe an intel one.
You could always drop the solidstate for now and work with the 1tb only saving like 78$ to mostly cover the MIR. On a personal note I don't recommend AMD video cards, I have had issues with drivers and stability issues.
I think i would use extra money to get a better cooler, maybe a closed water loop cooler, or a better video card.

Eh. The only driver/stability issues I had only happened when I had both 7970's in XFire and only on a few select games that didn't like my XFire lol.
I've had one card longer than the other and running it as a single card for a year, I don't recall ever having any problems.
That being said, I do agree with Kami when he says to get the 7970 over the 750 ti if you can afford it cause it's a much stronger card.
But if you can get a Nvidia card for the same power : price point as what I'm selling the 7970s at, then go for it haha.
Sooo on that noteee, lemme know wsup @blu I'm actually getting ready to go over to my friends house right now to test both 7970s. They both worked great last I used them but that was about a month ago and they've just been sitting in the boxes since then. So I figured I'd test them out one last time before I wrap em both up and have them waiting to ship to whoever ends up getting them lol.

Windows 8.1 boasts better performance than windows 7. I put classic shell on my to get the start menu back so I never have to use the metro interface.
I would caution you against just getting the ssd. Games for pc are for some strange reason getting 35gig+ range. I think bf4 is 35 -40 gig with all the downloaded content. Wow I think clocks in around 20-30 gigs. My point is that all your storage is going to get eaten up rather quickly. I would recommend you get an ssd for booting the os and another drive for storage.
As for the case, Im not crazy about it. Maybe go with bitfenix.

@v.Kamikaze Keep forgetting to answer that question, lol. I will be getting all of those from my last computer I have. My mom basically took over my computer so I left it for her but will be getting everything else back. The case is the only thing I need plus a monitor but will probably wait till black friday for that to get a sick deal, for now it will be a cheap monitor lol.

The air 240 mini itx carbide is great... You only need a small case for 1080p gaming
Some of these "mini ITX" cases are just... huge! I'd rather go for a mATX or ATX build instead of a "roomy" mini-ITX - the extra space just defeats the purpose of mini-ITX, IMO.
