You mean, like, vote for condom for prOn?

This is the kind of work our legislature is working on in CA, completely worthless shit that means nothing. Let's not deal with the crumbling infrastructure, the rampant crime and serious water issues, let's make up a ton of stupid ass'd laws that change none of the serious problems facing the average CA family these days.

Actually, the condoms for porn bill was pushed forward by Michael Weinstein of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) not the government. California OSHA actually pointed out there were far more effective STD prevention from other methods than putting into the California Constitution a requirement for porn actors to wear condoms.

I live in San Mateo county, so the closest thing I saw related to infrastructure was Prop 53 which would require all future infrastructure ballots (even local/regional ones) to be voted on statewide (as opposed to regions). It was a stupid bill because it would, as Jerry Brown put it, allow voters from LA decide on infrastructure needs in San Francisco Bay Area.

The bill was put forward and funded primarily by Dean Cortopassi, a "farmer" and tomato cannery CEO/owner, and his wife.

It should be noted that none of these passed. Sadly, Gavin Newsom's idiotic "gun safety" (and I use this term only because that is what they have termed it, not that it has anything to do with gun safety) bill that restricts ammunition sales.

I do wish that one had been better written. If this Train debacle has taught us anything, it's that the CA legislature still can't be trusted with $$$. I thought the trade-off was worth it, but there were definitely downsides.

And Newsom's been going after guns for years. But that's how people like that operate. When at first you don't succeed, try a stupider method and hope no one notices.

The only thing I wish California can do is pay for the water pipe line that we shut off couple years back. They cry about droughts but we have a solution to it. Heck all the water regulation doesnt mean shit here in Orange County. I always see people washing their cars and watering their lawns like its raining. Another thing we really need to fix is our infrastructures. In reality the our entire country needs to start fixing and updating our infrastructures if you guys see the way how our cables, fiber optics and lands lines are setup you would think we're in a third world country.
