Actually, the condoms for porn bill was pushed forward by Michael Weinstein of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) not the government. California OSHA actually pointed out there were far more effective STD prevention from other methods than putting into the California Constitution a requirement for porn actors to wear condoms. This is the kind of work our legislature is working on in CA, completely worthless shit that means nothing. Let's not deal with the crumbling infrastructure, the rampant crime and serious water issues, let's make up a ton of stupid ass'd laws that change none of the serious problems facing the average CA family these days.
I live in San Mateo county, so the closest thing I saw related to infrastructure was Prop 53 which would require all future infrastructure ballots (even local/regional ones) to be voted on statewide (as opposed to regions). It was a stupid bill because it would, as Jerry Brown put it, allow voters from LA decide on infrastructure needs in San Francisco Bay Area.
The bill was put forward and funded primarily by Dean Cortopassi, a "farmer" and tomato cannery CEO/owner, and his wife.
