Education

I'm fishing around for a good school to get my masters in nursing, looking to be a nurse practitioner in five or so years, or go to be a nurse anesthetist... Both would require me to stop working for several years to study... Never liked chemistry

Sent from my Nexus 5

Going for my BBA currently, so I can help out with a few family businesses.
Sometimes I wonder if I should have went with some sort of trade though...

@fAt Kaka guess high school comes in for me. My econ and accountant teachers really helped us and explained to us about mortgage, loans, buying houses and etc. While my dad explained to be about retirement but then again he's retirement is 401K which most company dropped out.

Currently studying for Chem E and boy it is one hard major... I'm planning pursue with petroleum engineering after undergrad but with my shitty GPA I don't know if I can. Still after Petro E or even with Chem E I'm hoping to land a job at Tesoro, Chevron, or Exxon and work at either their refinery for down stream process or on site offshore for upstream process. I dont think I can stand working in an office even though it would be more hours I would rather work out on the field not to mention I can make some serious $$ :D

Currently I despise my Vector statics class I dont understand why I need to learn that shit when we got Mechanical E to do for us. With the amount of math and chem classes I need for my major I can practically minor both chem and math after taking 1-3 more classes.

Most Chemical Engineers have brains to be able to make a killer living. Get through school, that's the most difficult part.

You will never know what opportunities are out there. Walter White from Breaking Bad. Although it's ain't real, but it might just inspire the crazy risk takers out there.

Ghonzo, do you have any work product with a petrol company or something dealing with petroleum engineering?

In the long run, education opens doors, but you need work experience to keep it open.

For some reason, I assumed most gamers would be working in IT or related fields. You guys have surprised me.

@Ghonzo I think there's always some useless class, or one that seems useless to the major or "real world." In a business stats class, the test asked what to do if a raisin machine was putting the wrong amounts in the boxes. I said "get it fixed or a buy a new one." It's honestly the true "real world" answer, but I failed that test. ha I guess when my boss asks why the server's down, I should properly start my answer with "based on the null hypothesis..." So dumb.

I'm trying to get some internships with oil company and other processing company around West Coast. Heck I even applied for Blizzard and the US Navy for internships. Hopefully I can land on one :(

You should expand a bit. West Coast is a difficult market. You should consider places like Texas or even Saudi Arabia, though of course Cali would be a better placement.
