Dual display question

I got a 24 inch DVI and an old ass 19 inch VGA (DVI to VGA adapter) only Dell...the set up looks really awkward having a big one and a smaller one

I am thinking about buying a newer LED lit 24 inch to replace the 19 inch.

Does anyone else has a similar experience? will the 24 inch instead of the 19 inch make a huge difference? I use the secondary to watch movies and sports games while I am working on other shit on the main.

What about in terms of performance, does having 2 identical displays improve graphic performance over 2 different resolutions displays?

It all comes down to how many pixels are being manipulated and controlled by the graphics card. Two screens with massive DPI, think 4K screens, and your system is going to crawl. Two screens at 1080P, and you should be ok with even a half assed graphics card.

If i may make a suggestion, Asus VG248. Great monitor almost seems as if one is playing on the beauty of a CRT. Have two of them pushed by two 780s.

My monitor standards for gaming:

Nothing lower than 120 hz.
Has to be at least 1920 x 1080 resolution.
Nothing more than 24 inch.

For animation/rendering, video/photo editing or any sort of entertainment,
it has to be bigger than 24 inch and has to have great color reproduction.

Asus and BenQ make great monitors.

To answer your questions, yes, it'll be a bigger workspace/screen real estate.
And yeah, (2) 24 inch screens compared to 19 and 24 would be a bit more demanding
to your GPU I believe (Unless your 19 inch is already 1920 x 1080 res then it wouldn't make a difference)

Thanks guys, when the price is right (hello black friday?!), I will pull the trigger for 2 brand new identical displays.

PS: I noticed my "newer" 24 inch 1920x1200 (hello!)'s buttons stopped working, the control mechnism, is in fact, worn out. so I can't mess with its setting anymore unless I take it apart everytime. bummer.

Look at those Korean 2500x1400 monitors... they are the same display as Samsung, Apple , LG....

im w acumeon and jam. i love my asus vg248qe with lightboost running on my 780ti. i always recommend the monitor to my friends and people ive built computers for. they all have one now and one of my closer homies is running 2, both on lightboost with 2 windofrce 770's lol.
