I finally saw some video of actual gameplay and I am happy to say, it looked like fun. It didn't hurt that it is based on WWI and seemed more oriented on ground troops with simple weapons instead of a bazillion different armored vehicles and planes dropping cluster bombs. The maps seemed even smaller than the original Battlefield and the graphics seemed pretty good with nice weather effects. This might just be a hit, especially for those that enjoyed playing Day Of Defeat.

I used to love DOD back in the day. There is also a feature in BF1 where the game modes span across like 4-5 maps at a time making it just HUGE haha.
 
I'll be buying full premium before launch. I had no issues with bf4 though I know a lot did. Dice has been great to me since bad company 2.
 
Got the beta downloaded and I remember what I hate the most about Battlefield games these days, Origin..

Fun game, I really miss the battles that occur around games using older gun technologies used in WWI opposed to most wars since then. I did have some troubles accessing menus, just wouldn't open any of them up so was forced to use the standard kit which usually meant some spray gun setup. Still had a blast taking, holding and advancing on flag stations. I kind of prefer the pistol in this game as it is pretty damn accurate at a pretty good distance. Hoping I can figure out what to do to get into the custom menus and get some different setups figured out. I would of loved to try one of the early sniper rifles, would be pretty good with just a pistol for close quarters combat.

It is good to see they added mustard gas but the WWI airplanes I could do with out. Thankfully, the planes just didn't seem to make that much difference and seeing the enemies drop was easier than keeping an eye on the vehicle movements into and out of flag stations. Looking forward to this one as even in beta, I was getting a solid 144 fps most of the time.
 
Im happy the planes don't get destroyed after a few hits. These things are flying tanks
 
Hopefully EA and DICE polish it up more and give us a great title for this year. So far watching the gameplays makes me excited to get my hands on it but I will be waiting a month or two after launch before pulling the trigger unless you guys give a good review :p Atleast with BF1 I havent seen some crazy bullshit moves like in BF3 and BF4 with the whole flying tanks and vehicles hopefully it stays that way LOL

@Space Cowboy you sir are one ballys man buying the premium :p Hope you were able to play the Beta a bit.

@Fasttrak don't we all hate Origin? Wish Steam carried the game but EA...
 
I played for a while earlier, and it was ok. It still feels like BF though, which means it feels clunky (or I'm just not used to it).

What settings are you guys using? I have to turn all my graphics settings down to low to get any sort of decent FPS. Or I'd have to play at 60 hz.
 
I downloaded the beta on my xbox, shovel slapped some mofos then quit. honestly its too big for me, I really want to like it but I just can't. still from what I saw it looks promising if this is your kind of game. hell I only played for 5 minutes before I went back to O.W
