Trying to get him to attempt booting it with one stick of ram, but he said he got dizzy when he first opened the lid. LOL. He wasn't able to remove the motherboard 20+4 pin cable to reseat it either.

Most likely he will bring it to a local computer shop to figure it out.
 
Yeah, he said a power supply replacement fixed it. Looks like the PSU died in-transit.
 
Good to hear you he got it figured out.

Also good to hear I had that in my post as being a dead PSU, short in system or bad CPU.
 
Didn't think PSUs were that fragile. That PSU shipped to me from Newegg. Moved into my case, swapped to his case, and shipped directly to him. Lol.

Some times they just go tits up for no apparent reason.
