9-year-old accidentally kills range instructor with Uzi - CNN.com

Parenting at it's finest.
I understand some parents want their children to learn how to shoot a weapon at an early age, but why the fuck would you want your child to shoot a damn sub machine gun?
That thing has crazy recoil even for an adult!

I feel zero sympathy for for the parties involved.
Something like this happened back in 2008 and a child died.

This gun range and this instructor are definitely on the list for the 2014 Darwin Awards. I have seen grown men fuck up with the Uzi, it is extremely compact with a high fire rate that wants to roll your hand right over, not surprised a nine year old had difficulty controlling it on automatic. I wouldn't trust most of my friends with one, hell the first time I shot one on full-auto it kind of scared the shit out of me as the nose ran upwards so quickly it can catch you off guard.

Yeah, I know about zero about guns and still don't know why he didn't think that might happen.
I know this is not the place for unrealistic movie scenes, but I can't stop thinking about this part in True Lies. ha

There is absolutely no reason for a 9 year old to fire anything beyond a red rider bb gun, in my opinion. You can introduce them to pistols and let them handle them empty, let them dry fire as practice in case they ever REALLY need to use it in an emergency, so they know the basics of how to aim and take a safety off, if there is one.

I feel bad for that girl, her parents put her in the position to kill another human, right fucking their in her face, at 9 years old. That kind of shit scars kids. I still remember watching breaking news during cartoons in the 90's and witnessing the end of a high speed chase in LA, where the guy gets out of his truck and they close up on him as he puts the gun in his mouth and pulls the trigger, then they start to zoom out quickly, but you see blood spreading out from his head across the freeway and then it cuts off. I still remember that vividly, it was the first time I saw anything like that and understood a real person died. I can't imagine being the one who killed another person and possibly having their blood splattered on my face and how that would effect me...

"But but.. 'murica, nd ND muh freehdumz"

Yeah instructor was stupid. Poor girl is scarred for life now

Clearly the instructor did not read this.
Edit: and the parents*

Can't blame just the instructors, her parents have as much blood on their hands.

Looking at that girl size you must be a fucking moron for letting her use an Uzi.

It was an accident waiting to happen. According to article, the range allows as early as 8yo. I agree with you guys. Auto firearms should not be allowed for "kids".

A range is no place for children that young. Surprised the family of the victim is not suing the range/sheriff department for being so dumb.
