Anybody playing D3 RoP?

That is pretty nice, Havoc, hope to see that kind of gear when I hit 70.

Have finally started getting some good gear, with my staff being the best so far.

Honest question, is the D3 expansion worth getting compared to the original D3? I think I uninstalled D3 because I was so disappointed in it but I wouldn't mind getting back into it.

Absolutely!

I only played through the first difficulty and got tired of the original. It boiled down to not getting the gear you needed to mow through shit and that is what is fun about the Diablo franchise. Go out, kill some Blue, Purple and Yellow mobs that are tough, and then they drop all kinds of gear, hopefully an epic. When the game launched the loot system blew and it was honestly not that much fun and gear drops were kind of weak with pretty weak stats, now it is dropping stuff more regularly and the game is once again fun. When I came back, updated the client and began playing, I immediately got massive upgrades and my character went from struggling through the tougher fights to kicking some ass and taking names, that is satisfying, getting your ass kicked repeatedly gets tiresome.
 
yeah with loot 2.0 the loot you get is much more rewarding my monk was running inferno 5 pretty well prior to the patch and once the patch came out I found several upgrades on the first day. But with the expansion, when you get up to 65-ish it gets super tough with out some serious defensive upgrades and some decent weapons. My monks is currently at ~600kdps and 3.5million toughness and can pretty comfortably run torment 1. Some wizards I play with have a sheet dps of over a million! :vomithate:

Hard to say with little to go on for level and Paragon. My wizard is at lvl 70\35 Paragon. I have Toughness of 2.2 Mil and DPS about 260K, right now Master is about all I am mastering with out getting that DPS and Toughness a bit higher.

I would suggest checking out this site to get some ideas on how to maximize your setup.
