new place, bad internets.

need some feedback, never in my 8 years of pc gaming (im blessed i know) have i had lag issues until this new place i moved into, (its just our house so one host connection.)

-its comcast
-there is NO wall ethernet plugins (which i hate to hell, its all wireless)
-my room is on the other side of the central hub
-im using a belkin adapter on my tower.
-there's two separate internet connections, always has been in my other places, one for work, one for personal

what i'm trying to figure out is what the hell is going on... as in i have an old router, no installation disc i think, it got packed, and so i'm wondering if there's an alternative to my adapter, i'm not too well off with money atm, but still i appreciate the best advice possible, thanks guys

-if it helps my internet goes from absolutely heaven to shit. especially when i'm near other players it gets bad. i've had to resort to single player games atm.
 
I would be making call to comcast to hardwire that shit... Unless it is you doing the wireless. In which case, hardwire that shit lol
 
i get paid friday, im just wondering how much that would cost... i miss my wall plug in... i was hoping their was some signal booster or something i could put into use

There some products that connects to your outlet that will allow you to have Ethernet without wifi. Its called Wall-Plugged Ethernet Bridge

Yeah try powerline, of course it depends on how the building and electricity was setup, but from all the places ive done powerline it works great.

I also, setup my own personal wifi other than the one that comes with the internet provider, just so i have 2 signals, easier to manage.
If using powerline, you can setup powerline at the base station where the actual router is, and powerline to your room and connect it to another router, so that you have a wireless router on one side of the place and another wireless router for the other side of the apartment.
