UFC 162 - (Spoiler) Silva vs. Weidman

The 47 Ronin
Anderson Silva loses his title after a seven year reign of the middleweight division. My life is now at peace...I can live happy now knowing that the cocky bastard finally got knocked the fuck out after taunting his opponent like a jackass.

got to tweet about it a bit with Duane "bang',holder of fastest UFC knockout *4 seconds* and Renzo Gracie. They agree that Silva was over-confident and deserved what He got. I think Silva also lost a lot of mind-control in the recent months.Weidman is NO joke, and Silva spoke more respectfully about Him than any other previous opponent in pre-fight interviews, etc.
That being said,Weidman still has a few holes in His game.Lil slow to pull the trigger, and def. locked into that 1-2 punch approach. You can hear his corner calling for the 3-2 and the 4-3.He threw that 4-3 combo, which opened up the jaw for that KTFO shot. His inside 30sec/1st rd takedown/ground pound was awesome. That side control loss/leglock was bad juju, but Anderson felt that power from the few shots He took on the ground via Weidman. Would love to see Weidman go to G.Jacksons and train with M.Winklejohn on His hand speed. No offense to Danaher, but think Weidman needs to keep Danaher for camps/strats and Winklejohn for hand speed/striking mix.

I must agree with your assessments. Weidman def has a lot of standup work to do especially in regards to hand speed; however, it was enough to knockout the all-time striking legend. I've been waiting for Silva's disrespectful ass to get KTFO like that for so long. Winklejohn would elevate Weidman on another level, I agree. I think it was very interesting that Silva tasted Weidman's power from the GnP but didn't respect it when they were striking on the feet. He paid the price :D nighty night pillow time...

Weidman did look a little hesitant in the second round too. I'm glad he caught Silva early or else I think he might have gassed out towards the championship rounds.

Silva will be back and he will think twice about going all crazy for mind games...

idk Icewolf. He's been a lil smart-ass in the octagon from day 1,worse than either of the Diaz Brothers. He has that "Bully" mentality that allows wants to play mind-games and such. He may not learn from this
