Spartacus was good, but I wouldn't even dare to compare it with the movie 300...
The movie 300 is on a different level, the amount of work and $$$$ they put towards the movie, it would have taken 10 seasons of Spartacus to even catch up to that level.

That's why I don't like 300. Too much emphasis on it being "chick flicks." The only thing that's good about 300 is some of the story, I said some. Like that ending in 300? Not a lot of Empires would take the risk that the guy did when he faced the king himself there.

I liked Immortal over 300. Everything in Immortal was done right. The only thing they ruined is the Hyperion fight - I expected that battle to be epic than what it was.

The way that Spartacus took those arrows - I donno a lot of soldiers would take that much shit.

I'm interested in the show now than before, because how they structured the story was good. I donno how they pulled it off, but that war-like fight between two empires (one slave, and one not), but it was well done for a television budget.

On top of that, the fact that they allow swearing, nudity, and whatnot... I love their choices for women to reprise as sex partners, whatever they called them at that time. I wish there were more television networks (channels) that allowed for un-restricted freedom in writing. Otherwise we would see more of this stuff, and shows like Dexter, and Nurse Jackie.
