at first i was going to make this thread solely for @Joshua Lein but then i realized... its anybodys game.

ANY PREDICTIONS?!

espn has a pretty close call of a prediction in a matchup of

SEATTLE vs. LOS ANGELES in the world series

what other fan bases we got here? cause seattle is about to take home it s 2nd championship trophy in 3 years.... do the giants dare 3pete?
 
Seattle has done well? Haven't heard a thing about them except for the good pitcher we have and well since our 116 win season back in 2001

apparently 17% of 119 MLB players polled think seattle will win the world series when asked what team...

also, NELSON CRUZ, HERNANDEZ,CANO,SEAGER, MAN today is going to be AWESOME
 
The Mariners do have a strong team and I'm still a fan despite a decade of horrible baseball. I've learned not to buy too much into the hype though--the Mariners are terrible until proven otherwise in my mind.

Will be cool to see what happens this year. Now to see if they can get out from under the shadow of the Seahawks like our soccer team has been able to
 
I hate ESPN commentators. When they are proven wrong, all they can bitch and moan about is how a certain team didn't deserve to make it to playoffs or the post-season.

at some point last season; fans were chanting seahawks during a mariner game. i thought that was just an ultimate dickish thing to do.

It really is. The Mariners used to be a huge thing in Seattle.. The Sonics moved away and the Seahawks became the center of attention. I remember going to games back in 2000-2001 and it was packed.. Few years later it was half full

I'll have to bandwagon the Mariners this year and see how they do. Well guess it's not bandwagoning since I don't watch the game and just rooting for my local team lol
 
I think Seattle's chances will be much much clearer after just a week of the regular season when we get to see their offense and their young pitchers. I think if Tajuan Walker has a good season they could easily win the division but honestly I think the angels will win the division. The world series for baseball is alot harder to predict in my opinion than the super bowl. I actually picked Seattle over New England for the super bowl last year (I think, i forget, maybe I picked SEA over DEN) but its alwys easier. I also know pretty much everything about all the NFL teams but not at all close about MLB teams. Im gonna pick the Dodgers to win the WS against Detroit. I have almost no faith in those picks but thats what im going with.

Honestly Ill be happy with the season if either the Rangers are better than .500 or the angels dont get to the playoffs. Either of those will make me happy. I honestly just want it to be next season so I can watch Yu Darvish pitch. God I'm extremely disspointed that he is out for the season.
