seriously i'm about to go off on a rant. YES NFL offices DID receive the video in early April, and there's voice of a girl receiving it and saying how bad it was.

BUT do you really think if goodell heard it he would NOT have released that video to the media and banned rice to make himself look good at that time? we all knew that video was going to get leaked eventually period.

-goodell didn't know anything about the video until tmz leaked it. yes thats bad his own office didn't bring it to everyone's attention, but also you've got to believe goodell and his epic EGO zealotry would've shown the media the video and banned rice on the spot.

goodell loves the spotlighht and showing his 'ban hammer' if you will. i dont think this situation would've been any different.

i don't like goodell too much and i question a lot of calls hes made.... but i also believe a lot of people give him a bad wrap for the lawsuits he's had to face and some decisions he was forced to make.

IF he did see the video, then yes he should be dome rocked, and i did support ray rice before as self defense and now i feel like a dick. anyways. sound off, end rant i don't think goodell is that stupid and naive as to think the video wouldn't ever be leaked, he would've shown it to the media first and banned rice to make himself look good

im defending goodell in this post not rice... what ray rice did was terrible... but think of it this way, if their was a video of michael vick electrocuting/ participating in those dog fight rings, do you think he'd still be a factor in the NFL?

i'm not saying give anyone a free ride... but forgiveness can be earned, and it does take time.

No matter how much we hate Goodell he made the NFL much more relevant, they have record profits, they are making more money than ever, I highly doubt he will resign anytime soon, and the owners board want him because they are making record profits as well.
