So, I purchased a Dell XPS 8500 about 20 days ago, and the upgrade-ability of it is just terrible, and there's nothing to OC, so it's no fun.
I really didn't want to get to involved with it ($$$$), but I'm justifying it by telling myself that spending the money will help rendering my 3D modeling program stuff. :roflmao:
I might be MIA from GO for awhile until all this stuff comes in. (y)

liquid cooling. It's all fun and game until the cooler is defective and you have sticky ethylene glycol all over your video card. me noob.

Borderlands 2 is fun.
 
holy crap this is pretty close to the completely new build ill be buying in the next few months. nice. enjoy it ya bastard!
 
nice build. personally, i'd go with a different mobo, though. oh, and a different case. antecs cases have been quite ugly and lacking compared to all the competition now; but cases are subjective, so whatever floats your boat. plz post pics!

My buddy has been running the same one for 6 months with no problems. I'll cross my fingers that doesn't happens. :roflmao:

Which mobo do you recommend? I was just going off reviews from newegg and cnet. As far as cases, I just want something that will stay cool. Looks don't really matter.




I'll post pics when everything gets here. The Samsung 840 Pro is in my Dell now, so I need to take it out before I ship it back. lol
 
Asus Z77 Sabertooth if you wanna go with the all black thing. I have Z77V-Pro, with some blueish color RAM. so it's black and blue
 
i like the blackness of the ga-z77x-ud3h. i prefer gigabyte and asus mobos (and sometimes MSI). asrock is asus' budget brand, so they cut costs in more ways than one. check reviews on anandtech and the [H].

I don't care what anybody says, these components make me rock hard and that usually only happens at Kiss concerts. Oddly, i've never actually been to a kiss concert. Anyway, on a more serious note, if your cooling liquid (ie. ethylene glycol) does seep out make sure your pet doesn't drink it because it's poisonous to them despite the fact that it is a well known ingredient of Dr. Pepper and is probably cooling the engine in the car you may or may not drive. Animals, including humans, like it because it is sweet and may or may not make them rock hard like one might experience at a Kiss concert. yummy
