Heatsink installation help!!!

I just got this Evolution-11 HSF from Mwave not too long ago for my computer, but my dad's original heatsink mount broke so I decided to use the Evo-11 as a replacement... HOWEVER

The plastic piece broke off so the original heatsink won't fasten anymore.


The motherboard has holes so large that only the plastic plug-in-snap-thingy would fit.


The Evo-11's AMD mounting kit has screws?!



Is this a modification job?

It looks like you need a backplate to mount that thing. It didn't come with one? I might have a spare one somewhere. LMK if you need me to find it.

Yes, there should be a rear backing plate with extended lugs that go through those four holes and has a threaded hole for those screws to pull it all together. Trouble is, it should of come with that fan and not the motherboard. You should reach out to where ever you bought that fan assembly for the missing parts.

btw, you can use a coffee filter (poorman's lint-free cloth) and 91% isopropyl rubbing alcohol to clean the thermal interface material from the CPU.

if the holes align w/ the HS screws then big washer + Nuts will do
