EVGA 780 SC vs EVGA 770 SC

So, I recently received a $75 Amazon.com gift card, so my question to you would be, which video card should I go for?

The 780GTX

Or 770GTX

The performance is very close, you could probably OC the 770 SC to get close to the 780GTX performance.

I agreed with you on performance vs price
But, keep in mind the 2GB Vram will limit you on high Res gaming. If your monitor is 1080p then its not important anymore.
 
True, I just noticed the ram on the 770gtx.
I think I better just go with the 780gtx and pay like $580 for it, which is a steal.
I could always wait for Black Friday, which is only in a few months, but even at that point, I don't think the price will drop much because AMD is not planning to release a new competitor card until year end/next year.
 
780 all the way if you're going to upgrade might as well get a headstart on those future proofing and VRAM :p
 
Going to wait a month or two before I buy it, waiting for my cashback promotion from Chase...
 
Get the 780 with stock cooler.. Buy the accelero extreme 3 and oc to 1300mhz....

Or just get the gigabyte 780 with the windforce 3..you can fix the fan profile at 100 percent duty cycle and oc to 1300mhz...
 
Well my code blue died.. Anyways I did some reading and the best overclocks and temps are on the msi780 lighting which has an engineering bios/ln2 switch and the evga 780 classified with the acx cooler... Both oc to about 1300mhz with some tweaking and modest fan profiles.... They are the best two of the 780's and both bring a small premium... Still cheeper then getting a stock one, flashing an engineering bios and installing the accelero extreme 3... Just depends on how nerd you want to be or maybe just your system building experience
