CS:S Speeds Up Sometimes

Lately, while testing my CS:S LAN server, the client PC I use speeds up or gets jerky. I play with bots. Wondering if you guys know what's causing it. Yes, I already scanned for virus, trojans, etc. I also turned off overclocking on vidcard and CPU. No, I can't play with you guys. I suck, and I have mild carpal tunnel ( I just don't want to make it worse). No, I don't have speed hax or any hax. I don't know how to install that and use it. The server is Ubuntu Linux. Other clients are fine, just this PC.

Here's the old PC spec:
AMD X2 4200+, 9800GT Econ version PCIE, 2GB DDR, built-in Ethernet, and Audigy4. It just started having this issue. This PC has always been stable. I did not check if other games doing the same. This PC runs cool and quiet, so I use it a lot for surfing. hmmm... did not download pr0n lately.

You get this only with bots right? Bots cause a lot of strain on your system and this results in the lag/jerky play (your system is a little out dated). I've tested this myself with like 10 bots on Ultra Mega Hard mode. You'll notice it when they find/spot you, because they start to take up a lot more system resources trying to track and kill you.

Yeah... that would make sense. I kind of spaced the fact that you were hosting the game on a server, not your pc. But does your pc have problems during regular play? Like if you play on 47R?

Because if all other clients are fine then it has to be something particular between your pc and the server--not necessarily a hardware issue for your pc.
