POLL: positve or negative pressure air flow;

I have more air coming in than exhaust (positive air flow) to keep the dust out. I see a lot of negative flows on this thread.

also question on cross air flow; i.e. in addition to front and back air flow; there is side and top. Doesn't it disrupt the "turbulent" boundary layer? and therefore, not as efficient? any engineers who took Transport Phenomena back in college?

You could incite a flame war asking such highly controversial questions. Flow is flow and heat rises. A fan at the top is usually nice but sometimes counter-productive. Dust is one factor but there's also humidity/moisture, case design, external ambient temperature differential etc. Negative pressure is prone to keep things cooler, imho. The velocity of the flow tends to increase as the air passes through those little gaps and spaces in the case and and positive pressure tends to hold air in the case prolonging its exposure to heat while the air is held in the case prolonging its exposure to heat while the air is held in the case...but then components can only dissipate heat up to a certain rate so how much flow is enough?

I only have a toy train making me a toy engineer. This has not enhanced my knowledge regarding Transport Phenomena nor has it qualified me to operate a real train. Now I'm sad. I wanna choochoo. :(

Before installing the GTX670.

You switched out the fans? or the actual LEDs? I'm guessing the fans, since your power switch is still red, lol. Do you need a blue LED for your power LED? I might have some around here...

yeah the fans all together. thanks for the offer but yeah ill hopefully be switching my case to this soon
