After a quick check on different sites i noticed each 3rd party: msi, evga pny etc all have their own part number for 1080. So im speculating each of the 3rd party's will have a founders editions distributed and manufactured by them. For example we would get an evga manufactured 1080 founders edition.

Pretty much. The founders edition name is just a rename of the "Titan Cooler" that we call the stock cooler. So every manufacture will have this 'stock' cooler version and their own custom cooler version.

Or you can leave your new GTX 1080 some where in public, come back to it after 30mins and if it's still there, you have find yourself a "founder" edition :)

Someone is excited with his new PORN rig, congrat!!!
